My Tree Too

Welcome to my treehouse, my name is Martie Williams Cashion. I hope that by climbing through the branches of my tree, you will find a link or some piece of information that will guide you in your own journey through that genealogical labyrinth consisting of many dead-ends, double-cousins, and exciting discoveries.

Although I began doing genealogy in 1973, I did not begin serious research until 1990, when I moved back to my hometown, Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IN. Here I discovered Willard Library , a free private library, with one entire floor dedicated to tri-state (Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois) genealogy and the roots of its inhabitants.

In addition to information displayed on-line, I have an extensive photo collection of tombstones for many of my ancestors (and their descendants) from the area and am diligently trying to document cemeteries and burial locations through the use of photography. I also have the capability to scan photos and documents for transmittal via e-mail to those interested in receiving this type of documentation.

Please e-mail me if you find a link or have documentation/ photos you might like to share or receive.

Last, but surely not least, I would like to thank my husband, Robert, for all of his patience during the many hours I have spent on-line, the hunts for remote cemetaries, and long visits to various libraries.

Now, get ready to start climbing!
